How to edit and brand your done-for-you videos
On this page you’ll find tutorial videos and courses to help you get the best from your done-for-you videos. I’ll be adding more, so please stop by from time to time. Or you can take a look at my blog, subscribe to my YouTube channel or my mailing list (download my free WordPress articles to do that).
So you’ve bought some done-for-you content…how do you make it your own? In many cases you can publish it ‘as is’ (always check the license to be sure of exactly what you can do) but your content will be much more effective if you personalize it, for example by adding your own stories, opinions and branding.
My mini-video course ‘How to create a video course in an hour’
It sounds so easy, doesn’t it? Just package your expertise as a online course instead of exchanging your time for money. Then you can sell what you know passively, even when you’re asleep.
The problem is that making video courses is a whole lot harder than most experts would like you to believe. Don’t worry though, as I can show you a way of getting a video course finished and ready to sell in less than an hour. Click here for more.

How to cut out parts of your video with Movie Maker
Video editing can be daunting if you’re a newbie and video editing software can be very complex. This is why Movie Maker is so great if you’re new to video editing. It’s quick and easy – both to learn and to complete your first few videos.
In this video I demonstrate the three things you’re likely to want to do first with your videos – trim the start, trim the end and cut out a clip that you want to remove from the middle.
Download Movie Maker here.
I’m a PC person so I don’t have any personal experience of Mac software, but I’ve been recommended iMovie as the Mac equivalent of Movie Maker.
How to brand your video PLR for free using the YouTube editor
I haven’t got around to making a tutorial on this yet, so I’m going to recommend this video from PLR producer Kate Reiger:
How to optimize your YouTube videos
If you’re posting a video to YouTube you want people to find it! Here are the basics of how to do that:
Please note that you won’t be able to upload unedited PLR to sites such as YouTube because they don’t want duplicate content (and other people will have bought the same PLR). For YouTube, you can add your own branding such as an intro and outro with your own colours, fonts and images. It’s a good idea to change the title and the length of the video, too.
I hope this is helpful, please pop back as I’ll be adding more tutorials to this page! If there’s anything you’d like to know, please contact me, or get in touch on Facebook or Twitter and I’ll make a new tutorial.
